Hingis falls in first-round

WIMBLEDON, England - In a major first-round upset at Wimbledon on Tuesday, women's top seed Martina Hingis lost to 16-year-old qualifier Jelena Dokic, 6-2, 6-0. Dokic, a Yugoslav-born Australian, was the world's top-ranked junior before turning professional in January. Hingis looked rattled at times during the match. Andre Agassi had a far better day than Hingis, sweeping Andrei Pavel 6-1, 6-2, 6-3 in his first-round match. Other winners on Tuesday included: Patrick Rafter, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, Boris Becker, Jana Novotna, Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario, Mary Pierce and Jennifer Capriati.
